ii4sm – Healthcare Industry Standards
The semantic interoperability of the platform is based on healthcare industry standards, such as the HL7 version 3 Reference Information Model (RIM) and the BRIDG information model, which has been developed by key groups in this domain, including CDISC and has been harmonized with the HL7 RIM.
ISO Complex Data Types (ISO standard) allow the storage, retrieval and analysis of data in a standardized manner.
Standard terminologies, e.g. MedDRA, SNOMED, CT and the ISO/HL7 Identification of Medicinal Products Terminology Initiative are included to provide terminology bindings for data instances.
ii4sm actively collaborates with these standard setting bodies and ensures full compliance with accepted and upcoming standards. The ii4sm interoperability platform can accommodate and include additional standards as needed.
